LRAS PROGRAM SUMMARY

Raytheon Systems Company: Manufacturer. LRAS3 is a multi-sensor infrared system enabling real-time detection, recognition, identification and geo-location of distant targets. Army scouts on Stryker and HMMWV platforms use this technology to conduct 24-hour reconnaissance and surveillance, while remaining outside enemy acquisition and fire ranges.

  • 2015: Raytheon Missile Systems engineers successfully connected two dismounted, remotely operated sensors to a soldier’s laptop and hand controller, sending commands directly to a nearby Griffin missile launcher. April 2, 2015
  • 2007: First LRAS Booking placed by 480-DRS Network & Imaging Systems LLC
  • 2010:  221-Raytheon Systems places their first LRAS booking
